Product description
Zebeta is a beta-1-selective adrenoblocker, which exerts an antihypertensive and anti-anginal action on the body. Bisoprolol fumarate, as an active ingredient, blocks beta-1-adrenergic receptors of the heart, thereby reducing the heart rate. Also, the drug reduces atrioventicular conductivity. The drug is able to block and beta-2-adrenergic receptors, but this is possible only at high doses. In this case, beta-2-adrenergic receptors are blocked primarily in the bronchi, as well as in the smooth muscles of the vessels.
Zebeta is used for arterial hypertension, ischemic heart disease (angina pectoris), and chronic heart failure.
Safety information
Bisoprolol is taken in a dosage of 5-10 mg once a day orally. The maximum daily dosage is 20 mg. A specific dosage is prescribed by the doctor individually, taking into account the heart rate and the effectiveness of treatment.
Zebeta may enhance the effects of other antihypertensive drugs.
In combination with reserpine, clonidine, guanfacin and alpha-methyldopa, a sharp decrease in heart rate is possible.
In combination with drugs foxglove, clonidine and guaafancine, there may be a disorder of the conduction of the heart.
In combination with calcium antagonists (dihydropyridone derivatives), the hypotensive effect of the drug may be enhanced.
Simultaneous administration of the drug Zebeta with veropomilom or diltiazem and other antiarrhythmic drugs, leads to lower blood pressure, reduces heart rate, develops an arrhythmia or heart failure.
In combination with derivatives of ergotamine, there may be an increase in the symptoms of peripheral circulatory disturbances.
In case of combination of Zebeta with insulin or oral hypoglycemic agents, the symptoms of glycemia are masked or mitigated.
